Films and Filmmakers Distributed by GME Showing in The City: Real and Imagined Series at Film Forum

Films by Peter Emmanuel Goldman, Alfred Hitchcock, Ken Jacobs, Ian Hugo, Helen Levitt and GME consultant Fred Riedel are screening in this extensive series presented in association with the Museum of the City of New York’s centennial exhibition This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture.

The City: Real and Imagined series presents over 60 feature films and special events, including SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, THE NAKED CITY, REAR WINDOW, THE TAKING OF PELHAM ONE TWO THREE, THE LANDLORD, KLUTE, TAXI DRIVER, DO THE RIGHT THING, A NEW LEAF, SHAFT, THE PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK, THE FRENCH CONNECTION, and many more. GME distributes or represents films in several collections of short films included in the series, 'NEW YORK EATS ITS YOUNG,' NYC TREASURES FROM THE ARCHIVE SERIES and 'CAN HEAVEN BE FAR?' Times Square shorts. These include work by Peter Emmanuel Goldman, Alfred Hitchcock, Ian Hugo, and Ken Jacobs, as well as Helen Levitt, Janice Loeb & James Agee’s landmark film IN THE STREET (1948). GME consutlant Fred Riedel is currently completing a feature documentary on Ken Jacobs.
