This year’s NYFF is presenting work by Mexican-Canadian director Nicolás Pereda (NICHOLÁS PEREDA: 6 FILMS), German filmmaker Heinz Emigholz (HEINZ EMIGHOLZ: THE FORMATIVE YEARS, Vol. I & II), Spanish filmmaker Laida Lertxundi (FARCE SENSAIONELLE!), and Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-Hsien (HOU HSIAO-HSIEN: EARLY WORKS). Running in a concurrent program at Films at Lincoln Center is a revival of the German filmmaking team Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s (CLASS RELATIONS) 1999 tragicomedy Sicilia!
