In Memoriam: Eileen Bowser
/Following up on my initial blog of November 13, 2019, I also wanted to note the passing of Eileen Bowser, my mentor and the curator of the film archive at MoMA, with whom I worked for nearly two decades (I began at MoMA when I was 21 years old). This is where I received my training as a professional archivist, working extensively on cataloguing and preserving celluloid film collections. Eileen passed away in December 2019. Click here for the tribute I wrote to her, that was published in the FIAF Journal of Film Preservation (issue #102, April 2020). Two other authors contributed to reminiscences of Eileen, though here in this edited version of the original publication, I have only included my memories.
